Chapters one, two, and three deal with the first, second, and third trimesters, respectively. They talk about the various milestones associated with each trimester, as well as general questions fathers may have about becoming parents.

The book spends a good deal of time on the actual birth of the baby, and then ends with a discussion on good parenting and the future life of the child.
